Why is that steel beam there anyway?? A height test for an upcoming tunnel or bridge?

Gotta wonder about how many oars this guy had in the water to start with. He's towing a double (including a 5'er) with a 1/2T?

I guess GM can now testify that the bolts in it's PU bed have sufficient shear strength.

Hope no one was hurt. Another example of why NOT to have passengers riding in a moving trailer.

IIRC the framework for a 5th wheel hitch bolts to the frame of the truck so the bed bolts wouldn't have taken any of the load.

I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. After all it's not like reporters haven't had their facts wrong before and the Chevy's do all look the same unless a DRW.

It looks like a 1 ton, he has clearance lights on his roof above the windshield.

Look at the front wheels. The camber angle looks wrong. I wonder if his suspension got screwed up.

to me it looks like shadow and trim off the camper causing it to appear that way...reminds me of the time I stuck my TT under an unmarked overhead...had to air down 4 tires and backup.

This is one of those times where you really have to wonder, just what the hell were they thinking? And of course, as stated above, how folks are completely oblivious to the BIG signs saying, No Tall Vehicles!
