Sounds like a plan efuzz02... Let us know how it goes as there's a CW nearby here.
I am partial to Bilsteins based on previous very positive experience on a motorhome. I'm certain that Koni's live up to their great reputation but there seems to be a fairly significant difference in cost between the 2 brands. If it weren't for my own personal experience with adding the Bilsteins I'd probably be more inclined towards the Koni's just based upon the number of Kodiak owners who have reported in here and on the Yahoo forum.

I'm not familiar with the Koni's, but I did put Bilsteins on my Kodiak and it made a world of difference.

After many unsuccessful attempts to get the shocks through dealers I contacted Bilstein directly and I got the parts numbers for the shocks for my 2007 Fourwinds Kodiak with the Kodiak chassis. You do have to order them through a dealer such as camping world. I ordered them trough the dealership where I bought my MH.
Front: (pin to pin connection) BE5-C253H
Rear: (loup to loup connection) BE5-C254H
I am very pleased with the improvement they made on my MH.

I was told the same thing from every dealer I contacted that Bilstein did not make the front shocks yet for the 2007, that is why I contacted Bilstein. Bilstein gave me the parts numbers for both front and rear, but you cannot order them direct through Bilstein. You need to give the "authorized Bilstein dealer" the parts numbers that I listed in a earlier post. I installed them myself, no problem, they have made a world of difference.

Before you order the rear shocks you need to verify the mounting configuration.
The 2007 chassis should take the BE5-A434-MO Workhorse shock which is stud to stud and looks like this:

The BE5-C254-HO is eye to eye and looks like this:

The fronts will definitely be the BE5-C253-HO shocks and will be stud to stud.
For more help you should probably call the guy's at Henderson’s Line-Up
for info since they carry both the Bilstein and Koni shocks for the C5500.

The second picture (eye-to-eye) is what is used on the rear of the 2005 C-5500 chassis.
