Today the manager finally returned a phone call after my wife left three messages, she said there is a chance that our original site 313 will be ready for tuesday, they still had inspections being done today so they did not know yet what was approved, good news is that no matter what we have a site, what a big relief,I just wish they would have handled the matter more professionally and atleast returned a phone call earlier rather then just letting us hang for several days.

What I would like to know is, I paid extra for the Club Castaways which includes the use of it's own pool. If that pool isn't opened or the whole campground has to use the one pool and it's not exclusive to the Club Castaways campers, what reimbursement will we get? I'll be anxious to see what they offer.

We are at Castaways right now, in Club Castaways. It's been rather annoying dealing with all the constuction crews and we have not been offered anything even though we paid extra and the "extras" are not yet completed.

We're currently at Castaways for the weekend. What a difference from Frontiertown! So far it's been quiet with no screaming golf carts. We're back by the golf course and even with the 90+ temperatures there's been a consistent breeze. I'm not sure if I would pay the extra for Club Castaways but that's just personal preference. However, the water views are incredible in that section. They're in the process of putting park models right on the water which will be amazing when they're done.
We talked to someone in the office yesterday and they told us there is a waiting list of over 100 for the 4th of July. My guess is by next summer you'll have to book a year ahead like Frontiertown.

we just returned from Castaways we did not get the site we orinally booked 313 because that area was not opened up until friday, the club castaways pool was not opened as of sun.june 29th and they had alot of work to do yet, even when the pool is done it's very small for the amount of sites in the club castaway area.overall the campground is nice but I still think they should have bagged this season,we had permant folks next to us and they told us that the campground would be closing early at the end of the season so that everything could be finished.

We have site 15B in the Castaways section. Any thoughts on that area? Will there be enough to keep my 3 teens entertained? They do enjoy the crabbing from the dock, but hanging out in the store and gameroom is usually a big draw for them and I know their not open. I'm a little disappointed that we are paying extra to stay in the Club Castaways section and the "private" pool isn't even open. What is it I will be paying extra for then I wonder??

all the sites in club castaways are nice and relatively the same size with a nice view of the bay and the assateague ponies, most of the sites looked like they had an additional parking space for a boat or extra vehicle, unfortunatly as of now there will not be alot of entertainment for the teens, basically swimming, crabbing(which we done and only got six non keepers in five days)bike riding and a field for playing ball etc.when we booked our trip we almost got a site in the club castaway section, but instead got a site in the 300 section which is still waterfront unfortunately our site was not ready, but I'm glad we decided against the club castaway site because it would not have been worth the extra money.

We just returned from Castaways yesterday. Our site was back by the golf course and we were pleasantly surprised at how quiet and peaceful it was compared to Frontiertown. I think it might be boring for teenagers but a great place for younger kids. Here are some photos I took over the weekend: Castaway's Photos

Thanks for the pics! We are leaving tomorrow and are in the Club Castaway section. It's not looking good for the pool to be open, but we'll have a great time anyway.
