After 7months of anxiety, negotiating, manuevering and waiting the final episode is written and hopefully there will be no sequel. Our leaky though now redesigned, incorrectly weight stickered to the tune of 3200# Forest River Work & Play is now gone but not forgotten. Yesterday we returned it and picked up a Forest River Salem LA 292FKSS. Being able to get to this point has been in large part due to the integrity of the people at Grumbines RV in Harrisburg, Pa. most notably the GM Tony Nease. I never even got involved with FR through the whole thing. Talked only to Tony and he assured me it would get done and it did. Forest River was willing to buy it back but it was going to cost me but Grumbines ate the rest on the buyback.
Had a 6 hour PDI and hitch install as we went over the TT with a fine tooth comb. The head of the delivery dept. Rich stayed with us the whole time and wouldn't let his people leave until we drove off the lot. there were a few minor issues but nothing that wasn't corrected immediately or could not wait till after the season is over such as a slide topper that was not shipped on time.
Also the old TH which put me at my weight limits never towed well no matter what I did. It actually towed OK but I always felt every nuance in the road and never felt comfortable.
The new TT which is 2000# less tows really well as I had a 105mi. return trip on interstate and country roads and the TV and TT seem to handle imperfections in the road that previously would have had me clutching the wheel as a unit working together. Weight does matter. Found myself creeping up to 65mph and had to back down to 55mph which is where I usually tow.
Once again thanks to Tony & Grumbines and especially all of you who provide a place to gather info, ideas and a place to vent.

It is so nice to hear something "good" about a dealer - most times all you hear is the negative!

Glad everything worked out for you - may you have many miles of safe and happy traveling and camping!

Glad that everything worked out.....as said, it's nice to hear that things were taken care of at the dealer's, and didn't involve lawyers and such.

Good luck

Glad to hear that everything worked out okay. I really is a good thing to have a dealer you can trust and goes the extra mile for their customers.......We have one also.
