No it does not happen like that. I've been a Dumont regular for 30+ years and have never seen much of what they showed. Back to the chained girls...parts of the show was filmed over Halloween weekend and yes some people do dress up and act like idiots.
Hate to say I told ya so...
The real problem with this show is the gun concealing parolee, and his drunken flashing girlfriend now think of this as the fun place to go. I was a Marine, and after seeing this we would have been there the next weekend!
Dumont is like everywhere else. There are a few bad apples that get the attention of the police, as they drive past the good people just enjoying the dunes.
I did not make it out there this year, but plan to with my 11 year old triplets and their quads.

Hey Jeepgeek, when are they going to show your episode of 'On The Rocks'? I Tivo them and haven't seen one with you in it. They seem to be re-running the same ones over and over.

Im sure the show was sponsored in FULL by the Sierra Club and every wilderness Society around. This is a very smart maneuver for them. Now everyone in the country thinks offroaders are even bigger losers than we were previously perceived. Just another tactic to SHUT US DOWN. Our riding places are closing quickly....Dumont, Ocotillo, Pismo...not to mention all the dirt spots like Clear Creek....ALL under fire...Not good. ~Brad
