Hi all
I need help with the seal on our entrance door. I can see daylight at the bottom of the door when standing inside. It looks obvious that the seal was not placed evenly around the door, specifically on the hinged side; which causes the door to 'kick' out at the bottom. I think the seal can be lifted and repositioned, but I am fearful once the adhesive is broken, it may not adhere well or become loose over time.
Does anyone know of an adhesive that I can use? I don't think the whole seal needs to be removed; it is just an area from below the middle hinge to the bottom hinge. Any suggestions would be appreciated. JW
Take a straight edge first and make sure the bottom of your door isn't bent out. If it got blown shut against something it could warp or bend the door. If it is bent, try bending it back, may be an easy fix.....
I wouldn't try reapplying the seal. If you have to move the seal, stop at an rv dealership and get a new peice.

The reason I'm sure it's just a misaligned seal is because when the door is in the closed position, I can see the seal along the edge (standing outside) only between those two hinges ~ and of course viewing it with the door opened one can see that portion is further over the 'lip' than the rest of the seal. If the seal was in the proper position, I believe it wouldn't bind the door, which occurs right at the point of trying to close it (it actually keeps the door from closing unless we push it to latch.)
It seems like an easy fix, but I was just hoping there was an adhesive that would adhere to the metal without melting or deteriorating the rubber gasket. We felt a lot of cool air come in when camping last fall, but may opted to leave well enough alone if we can't peel it up and reposition without a good seal. I guess a new seal would be in order. Thanks for your response. JW
