I got lucky. Only half an hour in MVD and 17 bucks to walk out with a new plate. Now working on a way to make it much more hassle to get the plate off the 5er. Oldest step son had his car broken into last week for navigation system, XM receiver, etc. I know it's naive, but why can't people leave stuff alone when it's not theirs.

Puller: '04 HD2500 4x4 SB,EC Duramax/Allison. Airaid intake, 4in. exhaust turbo back, ORU leveler.
Pullee: '02 Keystone Cougar 276EFS Reese 16k w/ slider.

I have a suspicion that things are only going to get worse!!!!

As more and more of people's hard earned $$$$$s are pumped into the gas tank and their grocery and utilities bills are going through the roof, people are going to resort to just about anything to continue to live like they have been living! The basic mentallity is that you have something "nice" so you must surely be able to afford ANOTHER ONE, I'll just take THIS ONE!!!!!!

Sure is a sad state of affairs!!!!!

I saw one come off a vehicle, in Atlanta. It hit our toad, several times, as it went across the hood. I know it's a hassle to get a new tag, but at least they didn't take the rv. ha ha

You are so right. Here is our local newspaper a few weeks ago, it was reported that gas theft from parked vehicles is up 3 times than normal. They didn't give any other specifics.

I remember that last gas shortage back in the 70's my dad caught a guy in the act, siphon hose and gas can right at my dads truck. I'm supprised my dad didn't go to jail.

Here in CT they finally changed it so that the registration sticker is NOT on the plate but inside the windshield. Won't stop theft for other trailer use but does for the stickers.

In some areas before they changed it, where theft was high, they okayed it so that people could put their plates in the rear window of the vehicle to prevent it from being stolen.
