We will be in the Pocono area around Labor Day. Any campground suggestions? And things to do or see in the area.
We are in a 40 foot motor home with a tow. Thanks

we are currently staying at Mount Pocono campground very nice and close to all attractions...as far as what to see suggest you go to the various poconos travel sites and choose. we like the state parks and natural type stuff. hope this helps

You can try Lehigh Gorge Campground in West Haven, PA. A real campsite without concrete pads but has a wood fired boiler for the heated pool, laundry, small store, good for children and near the rapids on the Lehigh River. A lot of sites. about 200 +/- but many are rented all year around. I have a 37' DP w/tow and have no trouble. But Labor Day is a tough time - good luck

Use advanced search and look in the northeast section here. We will be at Mountain Vista for Labor Day weekend. That's a good choice, lots to do in that area.

I would never go back to PVP! This is not a campground. It's a Trailer Park.

Spent Memorial Day Weekend there. It was OK, just OK. People were extremely nice, but sites were extremely tight. Very little shade, and the only tree around prevented us from putting our awning up. Activities were good, as was the store. GREAT CG for bike riding and walking, but it is very dusty. I'd try somewhere else if this is your first trip to the Poconos.

Tina,

I grew up in the Poconos. I've been to Mountain Vista and Mount Pocono campgrounds and recomend both. Labor Day weekend's usually got plenty of activities planned all over the area, depends on what you like to do. You may want to try the Pocono Vacation Bureau website to get a better idea of activities during that time.

Too much to go over on this forum. PM me if you like.
