Any recommendations for a few nights in western NC mountains? Looking for full hookup or least electric and water.

If you are looking close to Asheville try Bear Creek it is tight (full hook ups).

Try Fletcher, south of Asheville the camp groung was called Rutledge lake, but now called Yogi's. Very nice full hook ups.

You may want to say what you are looking for and what you want to do.

Britt.

PS. Maggie valley has nice camp grounds.

We spent the 1st week in May at the below campground in Bryson City.

The campground is about an hour from Ashville.

They have sites on the creek but it might be close with a 5th wheel.

The mountain view sites should handle you easily and these even include cable tv if you are so inclined.

Try Hot Springs, NC. There is a campground on the river across from the hot springs and spa. You can rent a hot tub filled from the hot springs then get a massage afterwards.Hot Springs

In Asheville try Mama Gerties or Campfire Lodgings. In Marion (just east of Asheville) try Mountain Stream.

What part of western NC do you want to go to. It is a big mountain. Do you want to be near Boone, Ashville, Cherokee, Glendale Springs, Shatly Springs, Sparta, Or Newland or Spruce Pines. The CGs in the NC mountains are too many to list. But some of our fav with full hookups. Are Raccoone Holler, at Glendale Springs. Buck hill, Near Newland. Toe River, near Micaville. and Holly Cove, Near Cherokee.
There is also a nice KOA near Boone.

Just over the TN border on I-26. Woodsmoke Campground, Unicoi, TN. Nice rustic campground.

Might be a problem with a big rig, roads are a little tight - we stayed there when we had a smaller fiver.
