The dealer is offering us a choice for the TV antenna the round omnidirectional no crank version or the crank up style, not much difference in price. The salesperson says the crank up works better? The round one looks nicer in our opinion.
Which one should we choose? We currently have a crank up in our class A and seems to work fine. All feed back appreciated.

Thanks
Chuck

Omni: BAD.... VERY BAD....! There is a reason that all residential and commercial antennas are directional. Even Rabbit Ears are directional by virtue of user twist. Omni's obviously have no way to trim out multi-path short of moving the vehicle. In analog it looks like poop.. in digital the picture just goes away.

You will need the Winegard antenna. All Winegard antennas, RV or home-type are considered best for digital signals.

Unless you want to be spinning your vehicle around in your campsite to get reception for the channel you want to watch...get the crank up.....Brian

There are two round antennas, one is omni the other not

The Batwing outperforms them, no question there at all (Crank up)

What others have said about Omni... They may work in some cases.. but on the list of things you won't be happy with.. They are right close to the top.

The Crank up is much better

My brother has a round Omni directional antenna and said he could get better reception with a piece of wire and a pie pan.

i was camping two weeks ago on south padre national seashore many miles from corpus christi and i got great reception with the crankup Sensor antenna. but the salt in the air corroded the connector at the base and to make a long story short caused me lots of anguish fixing the problem... always pack every connection with silicone grease that will keep out moisture and corrosion.
