We went camping for the first time this season a few weeks ago. A few days before we left we put the battery back in (as we had brought in the house for the winter) and plugged it into the house electrical assuming it would charge all up. We noticed when we went to leave the Refrigerator would not switch over to gas. Not a big deal as we were not going far. Then same thing on the way back. We also noticed after we unhooked the electrical from the campground the battery showed dead. We replaced the battery last summer with a middle of the road RV Battery. After reading someones elses post asking some questions on Converters I was wondering if that could be our problem. I have left it plugged in since we have been back (2 weeks now) and I unplugged it the other day and the battery still shows dead. What do you think the problem is? If it is a converter are they hard to change yourself? Thanks for your help!
Do you have a battery disconnect switch? Be sure it is ON. If battery has been DEAD for weeks, it may be too far gone. If you have an external charger, I would hook it up to charge that way and see if it recovers to use.

Going to make an assumption(which can be bad), did you just take the battery out, put it in the house and then expect it to awaken bright eyed and bushy tailed for you many months later. Check the fluid level? Do any over winter maintenance charging? I hope so. Are the connections clean and tight and not backwards?
