Has anyone had experience with the National Warranty of Florida, Inc? Is it a good price for $3,235 for 5 year/50 miles with a $200 deductible? Or is there another one that you would recommend?
Thank you.

You might want to do some forum searches on extended warranties. Many people feel that it is a better investment to just put the $3k in the bank, any repairs you may need in the first 5yr/50k are highly unlikely to exceed that amount, and if little or nothing goes wrong - the most likely scenario - you still have your $3k.

First off: no matter what their name or what they call in they are NOT a "warranty", they are a contract and follow much different laws than a warranty
It's like insurance on your house, they hope you don't need it (and write the contract so they make money most of the time) and you hope you do. The overall industry payout is about 2% of the amount colltected. 50% goes to the selling dealer and 48% goes to the carrier as their overhead & profit. They're in it to make a handsome profit, they are NOT you friend.

I think that is way too much money for very little peace of mind. Put that money in the bank and use it to pay for any repairs you may need. Think about it...these "extended warranty" companies are there to make money, so the odds are against you that you will come out ahead or even with the purchase price of that "extended warranty". The chances are overwhelming that you will loose money. Ever bought a lottery ticket? Chances are overwhemlming you will loose your money. Just about the same odds.

We have National Warantee of Florida and have had very good experiences with their paying for repairs, as long as the repair place is willing to work with them. As far as the price, I'm not sure what we paid, as we've had them for several years. If I had it to do again, I'd probably shop around for the premium price...maybe with Good Sams. All things being equal, I'd recommend National Warantee as a good reliable insurance company....and I would never self insure my RV any more than I would self insure my house.

I had National Warranty of Florida on a car and they paid, and paid and paid! Never a claim denial and know they paid out at least 4 or more times over the cost of the policy. If you have no claims, you feel like you wasted the money, but the same can be said for your liability policy or fire insurance.

Go thru American Rv Warranties and talk to Scott. He sells them for National Warranty of Florida and it is much cheaper if you go thru him. He is very good and very professional and sends all your paper work and you will even get calls from the administrator when it gets there.
Very good experience

Go read old Motorhome or Trailer Life magazines...look up their "Action Line" columns. Usually half the complaints are from people whose claims from Warrantee companies have been refused or greatly reduced for one B.S. reason or another. Listen to the first two responses to your inquiry . Save your money, avoid the inevitable agravation. P.S. I bought a '99 Class A 4 years ago, so far I've spent about $540 in repairs that MIGHT have been covered, and then lets not forget about the "DEDUCTIBLE" These insurance companies didn't get rich by giving their money away.

I have a polciy with them and next time I think I would probably go with Good Sam! I currenlty am in a dispute with them over a claim they denied last July. I say that their is a certain intangilbe "peace of mind" that these policies provide. That threshold is different for different folks

I just dumped my "Extended Warrenty" from CW for not covering a covered ideam because of corrosion on a nine month old coach. It was the Jake brake and a none servicable ideam but they disagreed with the mechanic then the dealer also refused to step up. But that is another story I am waiting to here from CW on!
