Hi my name is Dawn and I'm a camping reservation junkie!

We picked up our new 08 Keystone Passport 280BH at the end of April and we love it.

Since then we've been out 4 weekends and in June alone we will be camping 19 days. I'm on Reserve America all the time seeing what cancelations I can pick up. I keep asking my husband and kids if they think I've gone camping reservation crazy?

Is there anyone else out there that has this sickness or am I alone?

We love to get away in our new TT

Hi Dawn. My name is Camping Junkie. I mean Jennifer.

I truly am a camping junkie. We are two weekends into a four weekend straighter. We camp about every other weekend at least. I too am on our state park website and recreation.gov all the time looking. I can totally relate. We would be best of friends I am sure if we did not live on opposite sides of the country.

Keep on camping.

We also camp a lot. We have seven reservations already set up between now and Labor Day. We have been camping in State Parks for about a month now. Prior to that we only went to resort parks. We have joined Coast to Coast so we have two new world open to us. Yes, reservations are wonderful things!

Enjoy!

im a reservation gal too. i like to know were gonna have a spot when we get there.
we have 18 days in so far since april 1st. we have a friday- the following sunday trip planned this comming friday. so far, as we have things listed we have 45 days of camping sched by sept 1st. by that time our son will be back in school and we will do e/o weekend when able.

im on a fist name basis with our local parks appointment makers. they have my number and they always call if the best sites come open.

i think being a mom and needing to have a game plan makes me this way, im sure you guys suffer from the same "ducks in a row" disorder.

We camp all the time, however I refuse to pay the fee's that ReserveAmerica charges for reservations. We have never ever had any problems finding a great place to stay without reservations. I'm not saying that we have never made reservations at private campgrounds, however I will never use ReserveAmerica.

While never a "reservation" junkie, I was a planning junkie. I knew exactly where we were stopping every night and what time we had to stop by to get a site. Then a few years ago I promised my husband we could take a trip where I didn't have our stops planned. Two weeks, with the only reservation being the 4 night stay at our destination. We made it from Vancouver Island to Duluth MN by winging it. I had some tough days, but we had a grand adventure.

I now I get a better each trip.

Last year, three weeks in Yukon without thinking about our overnight spot until after lunch! However, I had our route planned.

We're leaving in a couple weeks for four weeks in Yukon & Alaska, and have no plans about where we have to be when. We're winging the route and the overnight stops.

I think I'll be okay.
