My wife and I are considering a 2 or 3 month RV trip down Baja next winter towing our 27' travel trailer. Any of you folks have recommendations on where to find RV park information, must see places, good travel guides, places to stay away from, etc? We are primarily interested in full hookup sites on/near the coast. Any information would be appreciated.

Well, the standard answers are to get the Baja book by Mike and Terri Church, and to look at the Bell's site, Ontheroadin.com.

But beware, full hookups aren't common in Baja.

There are possibly 7 or 8 Full Hookup Parks worth staying at! 1 or 2 are On The Water although a few more have access! If You want to be at a Beach You better be prepared to Dry Camp as that is what You will find Many are doing! Baja Camping is Great , just don't expect to plug in Every Night!
Most Folks are using Solar to keep the Batteries Charged and get their Water for Drinking from the local Aqua Store or Truck. There are of course regular Water Taps at Community Centres and Public Parks and of course some Pemex Stations!
There are Full Hookup Parks at Ensenada and San Philipe but those places are too far North to be considered serious Baja Camping!
We start to "Feel" like We have arrived when We get to Mulege and "The Bahia Conception"

Check in with the Baja Nomad forum.

Read the section on my first trip to Baja on my website (link in my sig).

As already pointed out, RV parks in Baja don't always have sewer hookups, but they usually have dump stations.

If you really want to get on the beach, you'll probably have to boondock. Most formal RV parks are not on the beach in Baja, but they are close.

Of course you can also ask here too. I'll add a little more info later, it's time for dinner.

Ahhhh the Baja. Sand, surf, sun, margueritas and tacos camarones. We had a great three months there this year. Although it will be a couple years or more before we get back as we are exploring mainland Mexico this year, we are already looking forward to gettin back to Mulege and other points south.
Here is a link .
to the first 12 days of our travels with Baja Winters. At the top of each page there is a link to the next page. After your done with that there is a bunch of other links on our website including the campground reviews link that should get you started On the main page is info about our trip home.

Still the best RV adventure we have had. Absolutely love the country, people and language. Also read the product reviews section for how we dealt with the water issue.

Have fun.
