Earl E wrote: I can certainly understand your desire to run the generator all night if you have allergies. But if you are in a crowed environment please think about us other campers who will be up all night because your generator is running right next to my window. If you must be using a generator all night, then I think you should not be in a campground with other campers. While I understand your personal needs, I don't think they should come at the expense of other campers. JMPO. Thanks.
I was going to say the same. Although a quiet generator, quiet during the day is different than quiet at night. When everything is down and there is no noise, the generator will be heard as opposed to the "white noise" covering up the genny during the day.
Go to the doctor and get some good allergy meds (I suffer from seasonals really bad! As long as I take my allergy meds and start 2 weeks before a trip i'm fine).
Please don't run your genny all night in a campground though....

Pulling an AC load will make the genset run full bore. It will be loud. My little Honda E2000 can idle quietly, but under load they are noisy.

I used my Honda eu3000is this past April at the Phoenix NASCAR races. Although the Honda is super quiet, I was asked once to turn it off by the local Sherrifs office patrolling the CG. Of course, it was right at quiet hours (10 PM), everyone else had gone to bed (CG was quiet), and I was getting ready to shut it down anyway. Point being...it's quiet but can still be heard in a quiet environment-especially if quiet hours are being enforced!

Yeah, that's really good. Use the "movies" to base your purchasing decisions on generators.

There's nothing "quiet" about my EU2000 generators running full throttle...

While others have touched on running all night the most important thing to consider is where you will place the genny so fumes from it don't affect you or anyone else nearby...also more and more places these days are requiring people to vent their gas fumes up and above your roof line so as not to affect anyone who may be in close proximity to you (tailgating, rallies, etc.)
