I have been looking for a way to plug the camper in without splicing into the truck harness. Up here in the salt country seems like no matter what you do the salt will get to it. I have looked at the torklift set up with a separate charge line. I seem to recall a post where someone found a harness that plugged into the back of the exsisting 7 way on my GMC. This would actually enable you to use the factory 7 way and run the new harness forward to the bed of the truck. I understand the need for a separate charge line. I did a search but could not find it. Thank you.

My camper has a 7 way plug near the front under one wing. The plug is the standard trailer type, and I just have a long cable that runs back and plugs into the factory trailer plug on the rear bumper of my truck. I added a "y" splice that adds in the trailer wiring for my trailer. The truck charges the TC through the standard charge wire in the 7 pin connector and cable, no separate wire. It works just fine.

Tork-lift makes several different cables similar to what Jumbojet posted.

I was hopeing to find one that plugs into the back of the factory plug thus leaving the factory plug for the trailer. I know I have seen these somewhere. The torklift style will work fine just you always have that thing plugged in and the pig tail hangin out there. Then when you don,t have the camper on like all winter its still there.

Hey FreeLancing, Hi,
If your truck has the trailer towing pkg, it may have another wiring harness up under the front of the bed on the driver's side. Mine supposedly has one. It's described in the owner's manual and in the factory manuals. But, I have been unable to find mine.

My truck has the trailer towing pkg. I have not been able to find that myself I think you had to specify a TC harness it is 50 or 45 option for the new models today anyhow. Someone out there knows how to do what I want to do because I saw it on here.

Tork-lift model W6524,W6532, and W6548. Each plugs into the existing seven way, has extension for camper and a trailer connector, all seven pin.
