Can some tell me which way to move the little slide switch on the fins in the fridge to lower the temp?

Move the thermister up on the fins to lower the temp.

I remember it as being opposite. Down on the thermister, up on the temperature. Up is down on the temp.

Nope. It's the other way. That thermistor is raised to sense the warmer air that rises so the cooling system operates longer.

The thermistor is sensing the fin temperature not the air temp. If you want it really cold in the fridge pull it off the fin completely and let it hang in the air.

Hummm, my sensor is enclosed in a plastic sleeve and not touching the fins. If it touches the fins, which is below freezing at times, it would short cycle the refer.
