Have been looking at 2 campgrounds R&R campground and Rondee's campground. Looked at RV Parks Review and not too much on them. Has anybody stayed at either of these and what do you think of them??? Also any other ideas of parks in that area would be helpful?? Only staying 3 nights then to Rafter J in Hill City,ND.

We have stayed MANY times at Lake Mitchell Campground. It is owned by the City of Mitchell. It is on the northern edge of town and on a high wooded hill overlooking the lake. The sites are a little tight, but the other amenities make up for it.

Eat a live toad in the morning and nothing worse will happen to you for the rest of the day.
I will also highly recommend the Lake Mitchell Campground. It is run by the city and is very close to town, yet completely rural and quiet and lush and green. We camped there in a 40' RV towing a car. (Well, "camped" is a relative word - they have full hook-ups!)
We stayed at the KOA but drove thru Lake Mitchell CG. For 3 days' stay, I'd opt for Lake Mitchell. KOA was ok (owner definitely seemed to want to make improvements, and was working hard at it when we were there) but Lake Mitchell is pretty. R&R I think is right by the interstate (can you say "road noise"?) I'm not familiar with the other one you mentioned.
We stayed at Rondee's and it was nice. We got there in the afternoon, saw the Mitchell sites, and then headed to the Black Hills the next morning. Definately a good place for an over-nighter.
