Such a sweet little girl and I think it is scary even for vets to do surgery on those tiny bones. Glad she is doing so well. When we first got baby Poquita at 6 weeks old and less than a pound, I scared myself to death reading online how easily the toy breeds can be injured. Neely may have just jumped off the furniture wrong or some other small accident that you never noticed. Some pups are not as "dramatic" as others when it comes to showing pain and that has good and bad points. Best of luck with her healing. Both your babies are adorable. How old is the little Chi?

So glad to hear that your fur baby had a successful surgery. I raise and show Yorkies and when selling pups I offer a written health guarantee against genetic health defects, including Legg-Perthes disease. My pups may cost a little more that those you can get at a flea market or from a disreputable breeder but I am willing to stand behind my lines with genetic testing done on the parents (I have 3 generations of the same lines now) before I breed them. If more folks knew about the defects common to some breeds and asked the breeder questions to make sure they will be covered and tested for these issues prior to falling in love with the puppies, they would avoid the heartbreak and expense down the road. There are just some people who breed with no knowledge and even less compassion for the problems they may be passing on to unsuspecting buyers. All they see is the money they make from the sale. Most true reputable breeders will admit they hardly every "make" any profit from a sale after all the vet and care expenses are factored in~they do it to better the breed. Unfortunately not all breeders are of this mind set. I would definitely let your breeder know of this problem even if it was fracture related~see how they respond. This may have happened while the pup was still with its mom and the breeder got lucky and it healed before the puppy sold. This injury should have been disclosed to you, the buyer, and a significant price reduction factored in.
Glad to hear things worked out ok~good lucky with your adorable little one.
