maybe at a steal!!!

It will be a steal as percentage wise, very few people are shopping for a non slide unit. In a couple years, I doubt there will be enough shoppers for non slide units for manufacturers to even continue to make them.
I have had no slides, one slide and now four slides. It is all good! Of course, slides will give you trouble. So will the RV fridge, oven, hot water heater, etc. If you want to avoid costly repairs, don't buy an RV.
And, both our one slide class C and our four slide Tiffn Class A can be lived in just fine without the slides deployed. We bring the slides in every night when camping in the desert. So, a 31' class A with slides can fit in any space a 31' class a without slides can fit. Just don't put out the slides!
Slides are here to stay. Non slide units will die a slow death. I have had fun in them both. But, for me, the extra room a slide provides makes all the potential problems worth it.
Good Luck.

2) not that many people are interested in a nice clean MH at any price without slides.
Theres a reason for his asking price.
I would never go back to no slides and I only have two now...wish I had a few more.
With that being said keep in mind you can get a really good deal on a no slide class A and save yourself about $10000.00 . I'm picking up my new to me no slide today .
If we had children traveling with us, DW and I would have purchased a motorhome with slides. For the two of us, our 33' Airstream Land Yacht is just right.
When we are camping, we are outdoors as much as possible. When we are indoors, there is plenty of room.
Not to mention the absence of slide maintenance/repairs, etc.
I just looked at the NADa book, and I'm not sure what model you are looking at, but the only one over $27,000 is the M32 Workhorse at $30780 wholesale. With it being non-slide, I would think you could get one for about $25,000 in today's market. If you think it's in perfect shape, 27 doesnn't sound too bad, but it is an entry-level unit. I'd look and see what else you can find for the same money.
Demartini has several in that price range that would give a 2002 Terra a run for its money.

When I was a kid, we would go from WV to MT for weeks at a time in 1970s units <30 ft. long with no slides. One trip was dad, mom, my college-age brother, me, and my younger brother (we were grade-school age). We didn't have Gameboys, TV, etc. and we did just fine anyway (8-tracks rocked back then).
So I'm used to the concept of making the booth a bed every night, etc. We have 4 kids ranging from 2 to 14 years old and we just bought our '96 34J Bounder -- without slides -- last summer. Based on past experiences and the concern that slides are just one more thing to break, I was very OK with not having slides. Based on my childhood experiences, this '96 model is downright decadent with two TVs, a VCR, a full queen bed for mom and dad, etc.
BUT
We do tend to get in each other's way when we're stopped for any reason (there's plenty of room for everbody while moving). Meal times get a bit crowded. These things aren't really showstoppers either.
The worst problem we have is sleeping arrangements. None of our 4 kids can share a bed very well due to age and sex differences. So I figured an air mattress on the floor next to the sofa would help out, but the aisle is just a wee bit too small. That was the point where I realized that we'd be better off with a living room slide. But it ain't gonna happen. The unit we have fit our budget and we'll make do. I'm thinking to rig a little-kid bed between the front seats or something. Plus the oldest likes to sleep out in a tent when conditions are right. Frankly, I think part of the experience for us younger family types is being... close.
Sounds like a steal on that Terra. I prefer to buy from folks I know like that when you know they baby their equipment.

We had a 31' Terra with no slides. It only took us about a year to decide to upgrade. No kids but one grandson who sometimes goes with us.
P.S. Make sure you test drive the Terra in wind or on freeways next to semi's. Ours did not handle well even after mods.
