The reason I asked 02super250 was I too experienced the exact opposite of what you describe and I was wondering who you spoke to specifically: From your post and probably 50 others here on this forum, it seems the type of service you get from them has a direct correlation with who you actually talked to.(Not good)
Their service should be the same for what ever coach you own from them. I'd like to know where the break is in the loop.

I find that it is much better to deal with the vendors first...leaves all the hassle out of calling Keystone. Happy to hear dexter came to your aid. They are pretty good with customer service.

Having read all his post, it appears to me that there was a "attidude problem" developed between the OP, Dealer and Keystone. I own a Keystone and they have been super, spelled G R E A T to work with, talk to and deal with. I cannot imagine what must have taken place to get Keystone to reject warranty work under the 1 year warranty picture. Or then perhaps you dealer is not telling you the whole story or "page two". Personally I smell a rat.

We had a neutral wire within the electrical panel of our Mountaineer that became loose. Over the 4th of July weekend it became very hot and melted the electrical panel and filled the 5er with smoke and charred the wooden cabinet. Luckly we had both an electrian and a fire inspector vacationing with us and they diagnoised the problem right away.
When the weekend was over I contacted my local dealer and they took care of the issue immediately but couldn't get Keystone to warranty the problem.
I contacted Keystone directly and they have yet to respond. I have requested responses from them via email/phone/mail and they have completely ignored me.
My solution was to pay the $1200 to my local dealer for the repairs and will never send anymore cash towards another Keystone product due to how they treated me.

steiny93.. You have a 04 unit..It is far out of the 1 year warranty. When it is out of warranty...it is out of warranty.... Check the vendor warranty on the electrical panel?? You have a 03 GM truck..would GM honor a warranty issue on the truck now??? Why would you expect Keystone to warranty a unit that is far out of warranty???????

richfaa,
A couple points
1) This happened in 2005
2) I'm not upset for Keystone because they refused to cover the issue. To be absolutely fair to them the unit was 1 week outside of the 1 year warranty so they didn't 'have' to cover it. I'm upset because they completely ignored me and didn't even respond to numerous requests for info and guideance as to how to prevent this from happening again.
Like any company some people have good experiences and some don't. In this instance I was an unlucky one and didn't have a good experience.

This is exactly my issue with Keystone as well. As I've posted before, our Laredo has had a slide issue from the time it was new. Despite being "finally fixed" by more than one dealer, it still has a problem. Keystone originally stood behind it, but once the warranty was up, they stopped covering it even though it's had issues from the very start and got repaired at least once every summer for slide issues. I still contend it has a structural problem we're chasing, but they won't even respond anymore. I have been EXTREMELY nice, but diligent for sure.

Hey GPSHEMI , have you tried contacting Trailer Life and sending a note to them, their section RV Action Line seams to get a positive turn out more times than not...As soon as these mfg's see their names with bad stuff in writing on a highly read publication they tend to react fast.

It is something that is hard to understand. I do have a Keystone product (Montana) We have had several problems . We have talked to many of the customer service folks at the service center in Goshen we have also been to the service center in Goshen. On issues within the 1 year Warranty we received 100 % satisfaction..never a problem. We have requested help and advise on issues outside the warranty period and have always ben satisfied. I will admit that we do not write letters or send E mail We have always gone to the web site, Called the customer service number and spoke to a person. I do not understand why some folks have positive experiences and other very negative.
As for being 1 week out of warranty..I would not be happy about that but will bet any of the truck manufacturers would say the same thing.>..Out is out>>>>

Well I've noticed that Good Sam has the same sort of section. I've considered it. At this point though I've sort of had my fill of Keystone. I've repaired it myself this time and we're thinking about moving on to a Cedar Creek if we can sell this one.
