Will the campgrounds that have cable provide the coax to hook up to the camper or do I need to puchase some?

Be a good idea to carry your own. It's not expensive to pick up about 25'.

get satelite then you never have to worry about there cable. i have been to places that only have a few channels or only local tv. i prefer the dish. but like the other guy said you will need you own cable, and another good thing to do is get good quality slide on connector and then you dont have to worry about screwing it on you can just slide it on

satellite sounds great! What company would you suggest and how much should I plan on it costing?
What is the best way to transport the dish?

We switched the house from cable to satellite when Comcast raised the rates after the 1st year rates. I always said that if Comcast raised, I'd switch. I called them and asked to remain on the same plan, else I would switch to satellite, they said no, so I switched. Best move we ever made- total bill for 250 channels plus locals (plus 2 of the 4 receivers are DVR's) is around $60. We bought an extra 322 receiver just for the trailer so we wouldn't have to keep moving one between the house and FW, makes it easy- we call before our trip to activate the extra receiver, and call on our return to deactivate. Can do this as many times as we want, as we own that receiver. If we have it active for a whole month, it only adds at most $10 to the bill, but for short trips, and the fact that it is prorated, then it's only a small amount added to the bill.

To answer your question: no the campgrounds will not provide you with the cable to connect your RV to their cable connection. However they will be happy to sell it to you at triple the going rate at Wal-Mart or Radio Shack.

We stayed at the Calgary West Campground last year and they rented stuff pretty cheap. We didn't need any, but it was nice that they had it.
