I am still new at this and still learning about RVing. Question about running 30amp service, right now I have the RV parked and hooked up to 50amp. I am getting ready to move to another place where they have only 30amp service. What problems can I run into? Can I run the AC? I have 2 ac units, would I be able to run one of the AC units? Any suggestions or advice would be wonderful!

50A Rv plugged into 3A service means you can only run one A/C at a time...you also have to watch what you run at one time...it may be possible to run A/C and micro at the same time, then again may not be able to...

Only One AC. You will also need a 50 to 30 Amp Adaptor (Wallmart sells them).

This wattage chart is very helpful to some folks.
I suggest buying a line voltage monitor. As long as you keep the indicator in the green zone your appliances are safe from damage.

We have a 50 amp service & two AC's. Many times, only 30 amps is available. We can run one AC & everything else using the 50 to 30 amp adapter. This includes Microwave & small electric heater. I'll bet if anything trips it is due to low park voltage not your fiver.

As I only have 30amp to my 5er, but can run AC, micro and television at same time, I don't know why you couldn't run 1 AC with the adapter.

+1. The only time we ever had a problem is when we were cooking and spilled something- turned the vacuum on while the microwave was running and tripped a breaker.

The breaker will tell you when you pull too many amps. Otherwise keep an eye on voltage stays above 110 when running one a/c and especially if running both. Once you get moved let us know how it does.
