Hey Guys-n-gals:
Just thought I'd see if anyone else is parking the truck. I love driving my F250, but when it's just me and I'm driving here and there, I really don't see the wisdom in it.
So, just for fun and a little fuel economy, I'm gonna buy a motorcycle. For the driving I do, it should fit my bill pretty well. How are you guys coping?
Any other bikers on this site? Take care and have a great weekend. BTW, we're having 4 consecutive days of 90 degree temps here in C-town. What's up with that?

Nope, still driving my F250 and it'll continue to be my daily ride since we can't afford another payment at this point. (My daily commute is only around 20 miles round trip.)
I've considered getting a Vespa, but DW said NO!

We brought the 5'er and truck down to Texas from Arkansas 2 wks. ago, leaving the house to sell. Flew back for the van and brought it up here to our permanent campsite (6-8 mos.) till the heat dies down on the price of diesel/gas. We'll see.
THOUGHT: If we got rid of the truck and decided to move, it would be cheaper to have someone move you to another campsite than to keep the truck and drive it. But then, that's if I stay permanent. If we can sell the house and get on the road MOVING, that's out. If I can loose a high house note, I can afford the diesel!

Pete, the MC sounds like a plan to me. Sign up for the Motorcycle Rider Course sponsored by the Ohio Dept of Public Safety. It is a weekend commitment but will likely keep you riding a long time.
I ride a Honda Shadow now and love it. Cleveland and Columbus have somewhat shortened riding seasons but I insure for and ride all 12 months when the weather lets me.

I still have my motorcycle license but it's been about 10 years since I sold my bike. The kids are still to young for me to get another bike.
A Boston doctor bought a Vespa Scooter right after Hurricane Katrina When the price of gas started going up. He was crushed to death by a tractor trailer while riding the scooter to work.

Never drove the truck unless pulling something to start with, lousy ride, poor fuel mileage.

i ride my bike all summer. my new dodge sits for my wife to use. it is 1/2 mile for her to go to work. 1/2 mile to almost anything we need so a tank of gas last about 2-2 1/2 weeks. this helps cause in the winter i have to drive the truck. its about 15 miles round trip to work and the bike costs about $13-$15 a week working 6 days a week. my truck would use a tank a week. bike also runs on premium. so for us yes during the summer i save a ton on gas.

Yes, I parked my F350 and bought a 87' Dodge ram50. This is my second week driving the truck and it seems to be getting around 25mpg and takes 40 dollars to top off the tank off.
