Please no flaming or brand bashing.
I just had all fluids and all filters changed.
The dealer said this would take care of the skip, and surging in the engine.I have never had not one issue in 81,000 miles.Well it didn't solve the issues.Had them reprogram the system (PCM,TCM, and FICM.)Still no good the serv. manager says to drive for 300 to 500 miles to set the programs.I says no way. I want it repaired.Truck still in shop.I told him to furnish me a truck.( after much debating he agreed.)Also he told his techs to put in new system in my truck. Thanks for listening. I feel better now. I was wondering if any of you had this happen?

I was going to keep my 2003 6.0 PSD until the warranty ran out in Aug but I sold it last fall. See here for more 6.0 owners with problems like yours.

If this doesn't work, take it to a Ford truck dealership that sells light and medium duty trucks to businesses. They have much more experience than your nearby Ford lot.

I'm free of prostate cancer for 5 years now.
All men over age 50 should get an annual PSA blood test. Mine had a low reading, but the yearly jump was significant. The biopsy showed cancer just entering the aggressive stage. Dr. Hackenslash removed it.

Sounds like possibly a bad injector. I'm no diesel expert but my buddy had a similar "skipping" problem on his 7.3 and it turned out to be 2 bad injectors.

Do I get 50 cents?

Preach - check for "your" problem on one of the Ford Diesel forums,
like - "The Diesel Stop" - sometimes more info available on the
"brand specific" forums.
