I got so excited yesterday when I saw the $4.93/gal sign that I had to pull in and spend $60.00 to top it off! Pretty sad when you get excited about that price! But it seems like since Memorial Day prices have come down about .30cents. I hope it keeps going, we are getting ready to pull the boat out in 2 weeks heading for Temple Bar, Lake Mead. Have to go out of the way for this trip to pick the boat up in Needles, and drop off again there on way home, so we are going to be spending some extra on this one, but havent been to Mead for about 6 years can't wait (even though the water is down).

Hey, Have a good time!

I have been keeping my truck top off. We are at 4.69 a gallon. If we can get it under $4.00 I think a lot of people would be happy...can you believe it.

Don't get too excited as the price for a barrel of oil just went up to $138.54 and they are saying it will be $150 by July

It dropped to about $123 two days ago but it shot back up $16 in two days to an all time high of $139.12 so look for pump prices to hit a new record next week.

Do not believe the price of fuel {diesel and/or gasoline} will come down much.

As we in the United States of America use less fuel the price will not reduce much, if at all, because the rest of the world {particularly China & India} will enjoy the price not rising much in their respective countries. The drivers in other countries will use more fuel as we use less and the price will remain near the same level world wide. Our $5.00 is considered a very low price around the world.

I think we all need to face the fact that the price is not going to come down--the real question is at what price is it going to level out at. We're cutting in other areas and changing some of the things we do, but we want to keep RVing.

Go to McDonald's get their used oil, and cut it with 10% kerosene or diesel.....then drive for 90% less...no mods required.

Many a dealership has made thousands of dollars in repairs to newer trucks owned by people who believe such savings are capable in the newer diesels.

Now if you have a clapped out thirty year old Mercedes, that stuff will work just fine.

By the way, most McDonalds won't give you their oil. Golden State Foods runs their big rig fleet on used fryer oil from Mickey D's restaurants they supply.
