Thanks everyone ! !

BTW, I have another question. I'm thinking about putting the hinge side of the compartment door at the bottom. Does anyone know of why I should or shouldn't do this. I can eliminate the need for one of those goofy door "holder-uppers". Plus the door won't interfere with my kitchen window. Any advice would be appreciated ! !

Mark.

I think the weep holes are on the non hinge side so they should be on the bottom?

Thanks for all of the replies and info. I will take a closer look at it before installing and try to make an educated decision. Well, I'm gonna have lunch now and then it's "saw-time" ! ! ! ! !

Well, I must admit, I asked myself as soon as the saw starting cutting "What the heck have I started? Why did I even think I should do this?" But now that she's all done, I'm very happy.

Step # 1: Buy a door and measure it!

Step # 2: Shut off propane, remove stove/oven and kitchen drawers.

Step # 3: Drill a location (pilot) hole from inside.

Step # 4: Trace and level (square) the door where desired.

Step # 5: Apply masking tape around outside edge to prevent "splintering" of fibreglass. Drill saw access holes.

Step # 6: Prepare saw (new blade recommended). Ask yourself "why?" and cross your fingers ! ! !

Step # 7: Ask yourself, "what the heck am I gonna do with this big hole in my camper now?"

Step # 8: Now open a beer and resume breathing!

Well, after spending $3.10 on a tee, elbow and joiners for the kitchen sink drain plumbing, it was set to go. Today I will install a switched light inside the compartment as well as "box" it in with plywood!

BTW, I chose to place the hinge side down. Seems to be just fine. The door just hangs and I don't think water intrusion will be possible after carefully looking at the design of the door.
