We brought our Trail-Lite TL30BH home on Thursday evening. Backed it into our driveway without too much difficulty. Our driveway has a gentle slope to it. The trailers sits quite high and so by the time I had it level the front of the trailer was quite high off the ground. I nearly have the tongue jack extended fully and the front stabilizers as well.

I am looking for ideas of what type of blocks I should carry in the rig for putting under the stabilizers and tongue jack. What would give me the most versatility in dealing with non level campsites?

I carry a dozen scrap pieces of 2"x8"x12" treated lumber and half-dozen 4"x4"x12" treated lumber. The 2x8's are for under the low side tires and the 4x4's are for under the stabilizer jacks. I haven't been to any site yet that I couldn't get pretty level with that much cribbing.

I carry a small lumberyard of various sizes, plus a set of Lynx levelers, plus a couple of 4' steel ramps, 1" X 6". I can level, support, cross ditches and pat my head and rub my belly at the same time. Seriously (sputter!!!!), I have found a use for just about every size of junk I have at one time or another. I also have two bottle jacks, and, strapped to the roof rack of my TV, a Hi-Lift jack. I have used all of these as well. Add two different kinds of wheel chocks. Once I get set up, I'm bulletprooof (I think).

Hi Various sizes of boards will work and if I cant level out with what I have on hand then I find a different spot (of course I know that site as it is in a loacal CG) But I have been to some CG that I was gratfull in having enough wood available to level out the TT. I don't go overboard with having too much wood but even when I thought I had too much that trip I ended up using everybit. So I would err on the side of caution....Good Luck

I also have a sloped park spot at home. In fact it is so sloped that I decided to place leveling boards where the tires and wheels sit. They are dug in to my backyard. This way my suspension is sitting level. I use cinder blocks at the front corners when I am home. I obviously chock the camper but to get level I raise the nose over 2 feet in a 2 step process to get my blocks under the stabilizers and tongue jack. I end up with 3 blocks making a little pyramid-double height stack at the tongue and each front stabilizer. This makes it nice and solid.
But I only take along 3 2x10's, for the wheels, a set of Legos and some 2x8 blocks when I travel. I go to CG's and they always have level sites.
Be careful backing in if your parking spot puts your driveline to work. I had to have my trans rebuilt this year and I swear it is partially due to backing uphill. I don't have to turn too much and my spot is on grass so I am planning to use 4 low in the future to try to preserve my trans.

I cut a length of the artificial wood used for outside patios into 12" lengths. I use these under the jacks. The size is roughly the same as a 2 x 6. I use the Lego sets for the wheels.
