Half? This means that my 06 Duramax that I bought last fall for 34K is now worth 17K? I'll take 10 of them please... I know the market is soft but let's be real.....
I put a bike in the local trader.. Was 75 bucks, runs to it sells.. They also put it in trader on line.. Ebay, people want it for a low price..

I am currently looking for a tow vehicle myself. I have been looking at the 2008 F250's and some 2007 F250's. Why am I looking? I am hoping to take advantage of the current market. Sure fuel prices are high, but I can use a truck to tow my boat (and trade my Class C for a 5th Wheel). What I will say next may upset the original poster and many others trying to sell. I hope you are willing to take bottom dollar, and I really mean "bottom dollar". As one of the above posts stated, e-bayer's are looking for lowest price. E-Bay is where I am doing most of my searching. Auto Trader is to cluttered with dealers. Craigs list is ok for local, but since I am looking for a specific type and year range, E-bay is where I search.
Unless you are willing to take a serious loss on your vehicle, you are going to be disappointed. Search e-bay COMPLETED LISTINGS and see what some of the vehicles have actually been selling for, and what the high bids have been. Unless you are willing to deal in that range, I wouldn't waste your money putting an ad on e-bay.
Personnally I am looking for a 2007 F250 Lariat 4x4 Crew diesel with less than 25,000 miles. If I can find one for $20,000 I will buy it, if not, I will do just as well buying a new 2008 with all the discounts.

Craigs list ok for local only?
You can put your ad in and cover any part of the U.S. you want. I live in the South S.F. Bay area, and I can have my ad be local to San Jose, Ca., or have it post throughout the whole S.F. bay area.......which is millions of people. I think you can even specify a larger area on Craigslist.

$15,311.00 was the selling price for a 2006 Chevy 3500 LT DRW Crew Cab Duramax Allison pickup with sunroof, DVD player and more on ebay motors.

The truck market is what it is. Trucks are going down weekly as the GM of a local Honda dealer said. He won't take any on trades
