It's really difficult to siphon gas out of my '03 Winnebago. It's so difficult that I failed and gave up. If the filler on your's is similar, a locking gas cap really doesn't seem necessary.

The Stant 11510 doesn't work in my Ford E450. The dados on the tank filler pipe are narrow straight up and down "slots" in the pipe. There are four of these slots. The tank cap has four narrow straight protrusions that slide down into the dado slots in the tank filler pipe. The 11510 has an two L shaped protrusions that slide down into the filler pipe slots. So, I am still without a locking gas cap.
Appreciate the try.

If you use gasoline, don't worry about condensation, most gasoline today is 10 percent alcohol. A lot more than the "dry-gas" we used to put in to correct for water in there. Leave it low, no problem! Jordan

I got mine at Ford. I took mine in and they had one that fit. I think it was the Econoline Cap. Even says "Ford" on it.

Yes, and increase the condensation in your tank, and the chances of having huge mechanical repair bills.....I'd rather take the odds of getting ripped off by thieves....
Modern fuel systems are "closed" so they get minimal moisture inside anyway. If you are using gas that has alcohol in it like many of us are, it will take care of any moisture that gets in there.

You guys who think your gas has alcohol in it might be mistaken. A lot of gas around the country is now "E10" meaning it has 10% ethanol, not alcohol.
Ethanol will actually attract moisture. That's why it's a good idea to keep your tank filled during storage periods. You'll have less air space in the tank that way. Most modern cars and trucks have a tightly sealed fuel system if the gas cap is tightened as recommended.

Have you tried siphoning gas from your fuel tank lately? You can't get the siphon tube far enough into the tank where the gas is. Near the end of the filler tube, there is a wall that prevents siphoning as well as back-splashing. While filling the tank, gas runs down the filler tube, hits a metal wall, and then makes it's way through a slot in the tube, into the tank.
At least that is how it is on my cars. I haven't tried it on my RV.

I'll let you in on a little secret that I learned in organic chemistry class, ethanol IS alcohol.

It is much faster for theives to punch a hole in the tanks. I believe there is an anti rollover valve in the filler tubes that makes it extremely hard to siphon.
Locking gas caps are good, however, if you have a vindictive ex wife or girlfriend

Ethanol is not the only alcohol by any means but it is the one you can drink. --In moderation.-- Also, the fact that ethanol attracts moisture is what makes gasoline that contains it less susceptible to condensation problems.
