I just want it empty. Piece of mind to know I don't have a TT full of someone else's crap.

My metersays it is 3/4 full. I am not sure if it is from winterizing or not? How much liquid do they normally put in for winteriztion? Either way I found a local campground that charges 10 bucks to dump.

If the meter is correct, that's a lot for antifreeze, so in other words, it's probably not antifreeze but real black water. However, I have seen incorect readings on the meters due to TP hanging on or other particles. $10 to dump? That's a lot. Sometimes you can find a gas station that will let you dump for free with a fillup. Check the internet for your local area for dump stations. We have a waste treatment plant by us that lets you dump for free sunup to sundown. You bought this used - if from a dealer, do they have a dump station - sometimes they do and you can use it free of charge. Sometimes local parks have free dump stations, at least out here all this exists.

Totally understand. So maybe call the closest campgrounds to you and explain your situation. Maybe they'll let you use their dump facilities for free or for a day use fee, which should be fairly cheap.

The local State Parks here in PA will let you dump, even if you don`t camp there, for $9. That`s what they told me. Maybe that`ll work for you.

If you can get to your sewer clean out at your house, you can easily make your own dump station. Since you now own a TT it would be convenient to have one. When taking a trip, you may not always be able to dump before comming home. What if you need to use the bathroom on the way home and can't find a conveinent place?

Google "Flying J" or "Loves" or "TA Travel Center". Most all of them offer a free dumpstation.

It would not be surprising, however, if the sensor in your black tank was not accurately conveying what is truly in the tank. Some use of your wand down the toilet and some good back-flushing may be in order here.
