Hello All, I have been looking at the toy hauler market scrutinizing cost, design, size and the capacity to haul toys for a couple of years now. The cost of fuel has to put more pressure on the market to force new designs. There anybody with the insight on what new changes that will becoming into the market and how quickly?

I haven't heard anything, but with a question like that there must be something you dont like about the current THs. What sort of change are you looking for?

I would be looking for lighter and more aerodynamic to start with.
AND NOT some lazy engineer's idea of "Lets take out a bunch of stuff and make it lighter"
Toy Haulers need the extra water, holding tanks, genny and fuel, so earn your salary Mr Engineer and make it lighter with all or most of the perks of a T H.

NO ride for Us, other 3 guys had various problems, and I have a sore foot, need to get over to Kaiser and get some Xrays.
Ended up cleaning up the T H

My 33' toyhauler weighs about 9,000 lbs with nothing in it. If the same trailer only weighed 7,000 lbs am I really going to be saving that much in gas? I might get a 1-2 mpg better but in the grand scheme of things is it that significant? Then throw in all the******we take with us....towing that kind of weight, I don't care how it's designed, is gonna suck the fuel.
It's just an expensive hobby....

1 or 2 MPG WOULD make a difference, I would be able to make it to some of our ride areas without stopping. 2 times 25 gal is 50 miles per tank. I sometimes have to carry a couple of fuel jugs to dump into the tank just to make it from one city to another in the more remote areas. I know that it is an expensive hobby, just trying to ease the pain somewhat.

We have a balboa Mirage toy hauler. Pretty lite, pulls awesome. I think for its size(26') its got everything we could ever want. Looks very clean, everything is concealed. Aerodynamic....could use some help but by all means not that bad
