leaving in 10 days for SD (Mt. Rushmore/Crazyhorse) and Yellowstone. First time to take a "long" trip. We mostly do local stuff. This is going to be a great experience for the whole family. I have to get my kids to stop watching the movie "RV". I keep telling 'em, using the dump station is not "simple hydraulics"

Lots of trips in the 10 day range within 3-5 hrs of home. We will be taking a 3 week trip to Oregon with alot of friends. That is our only BIG trip of the year...figure we may as well make it a long one. We will still be away from home in the RV no less than 100 nights. Life is good even close to home in an RV.

We are retired so we don't get a vacation anymore. We are leaving our home on the Carolina Coast July 27 for Alaska. We are taking our 7 year old granddaughter with us (first we have to go to Atlanta and get her off an airplane)and meeting her parents in Anchorage.

We got an early start this year!
Have done short trips to Lieber State Recreational Area in Indiana (Cagle Lake/Cataract Falls) and Danville, Kentucky. Spent spring break at Hilton Head, and just returned from a week in Rhode Island.
I think our fuel budget may be spent for the year, though.
