weather still poor around here (amboy IL). see few trailer etc on the road. had only one group of tenters and one pup. most seasonals stayed home. The CG has some areas roped off because of mud and water. we have missed 3 weekends since april 15th which is odd for us.

The CG we were in over the weekend was 100% full. We are having a difficult time trying to get into a CG next weekend, as they are close to full also.

Thanks for all the responses. BTW the weather here was clear but really hot. I guess it's good news/bad news...more spaces to pick from but less folks getting out. Fuel prices are showing their impact.

I'm a fulltimer that moves around quite a bit. My observation is that CG occupancy here in central CA doesn't seem noticeably different than previous years. I'll be moving east to Texas soon to pick up a "new to me" coach so I'll keep an eye out to try to develop some of my own conclusions.

There are lots of posts on this and other forums where folks are trying to size up the effect of higher fuel prices. It would be interesting to see statistics gathered on a more scientific basis. I notice that some posters here like Lapdog seem to be doing their own counts. Maybe someone would like to organize a group to make regular counts all over the country and summarize the results.

We weren't able to get out this weekend. Baseball, garduation party, and a reunion backfired those plans. But come Sunday, we're gone for a week!

100 plus degrees made us stay home. I hope the weather played a big part in the slowdown but I can understand why folks are staying home. Right now I estimate it going to cost me around $250 to travel from Eastern NC to Charleston SC. However, we are going regardless of the cost.

We went to Yogi Bear CG this weekend that is usually close to full and it appeared to be about 60% full. I asked one of the "rangers" and he said the only weekend they had been full this year was Memorial Day and the rest of the time it was pretty slow. We were wondering what the rest of you had noticed?

Were you at The Lury Yogi? If so their High Prices are keeping some away. Its a very nice CG but their rates have outpaced other CG's. We used to go there every year at least once and always for Halloween. That stopped last year due to their prices and fees.

I am currenty setup at the Gettysburg Battlefield Resort CG , This is a membership CG where its free for most to use. There were serveral good sites not used this past weekend. Last year at this time finding a full hookup site empty would be a rare find. CG is pretty empty today.
