I purchased a used Starcraft 215SSO Antiqua hybrid travel trailer with electric slideout.
What we didn't realize when we purchased it is that it leaks. Now we have been struggling to figure out how to fix the leak. I leaks in from the stop molding above the couch and dinnette. We have re-caulk almost everything that appears to need caulk including screws. The black seal around the slide out appears to be in place fine. We looked at the new ones and you can tell that they have made many changes to the sealing around and above the slide out. I can only assume that they had problems with the seal design.
Has anyone else had leaking coming in from the top of their slideout into the inside of the trailer?
By way, what do you do if you need to pack up during a heavy rain storm. It's easy enough to hit the electric slide but what about all the water that is on the top and sides of the slide. Won't this creat a pool of water in the camper when driving.
Please help we are suppose to go camping in two weeks and my husband is about ready to give away our camper that I love so much if it stops leaking.
I'd advise that you talk to a good authorized Starcraft dealer and see what they say, or contact Starcraft directly. They may have come up with a modification for your trailer and can tell you what to do.

It is possible that you might not actually have a leak. I am assuming that your situation ONLY happens when the slide is extended. If this is not the case, ignore the rest of my post. Let me explain.
The 215sso is designed to actually funnel water off the top of the extended slide into what I'll call a "rain gutter" that sits on the interior floor of your camper located behind the sofa and dinette. That gutter is maybe a couple inches deep and is nothing more than an open channel where water off the top of the slide is directed and collects. There is an all important drain pipe for the gutter that goes through the floor of the trailer very near the forward edge of the slide. (Crawl underneath when the slide is closed and you'll see it right away.) If that drain pipe clogs, the "rain gutter" will overflow and fill your trailer with water rather than properly discharging to the ground below.
Kind of strange that one would actually design a system that purposefully brings rain water into the unit before discharging but that's the way it works. Caused us to cut short a trip when we first owned our camper. We were in a deluge and the water was pouring in on the floor from near the sofa faster than we could towel it up. In the dark and rain, I had no chance to understand the problem Now that I know about the importance of keeping that drain clear, no problems ever. We never really had a "leak".
Hope that solves your problem.
