We stayed at Whistler's last year for almost a week. Loved it. A very nice campground. We too had a full hookup site, and found it spacious. Picture here
In front of the motorhome there was sufficient space to back in my Jeep and not protrude in to the loop road.
Both the wife and I woke up with a start and swore we heard a bear outside. The kids said they found pawprints in the morning.... Who knows. There's a heard of elk that roam the place. I will be back to Whistlers one day - it's a must.
I'm glad to see this topic as we will be there in about 4 or so weeks. We can't wait. The photo of the campsite from the last post looked beautiful. I believe we are in a full hook up site. We will be coming there from Mt. Kidd. Anyway, thanks to the original poster for asking the question. I have enjoyed the answers.
We stayed at Whistlers in late June 2006 and rented a motorhome. It was very pleasant during the day (except one day where it was quite chilly and even snowing at the top of Whistlers when we took the tramway up), but chilly at night. This is a photo of our campsite in the full-hookup area (52AJ) (right by a playground, which was great for the kids. The playgrounds could use some updating, but they were fine for a little fun). The sites were large enough, but as you can see, this particular loop did not have much in the way of privacy - which wasn't really an issue, anyway, since as I mentioned before, everyone seems to stay inside because it was too cold at night and there were no fires rings. Still the best place to stay in Japser, IMO.
