This year has been the year of water for my coach....We had a leak (that was supposedly fixed when new) that de-laminated an interior wall by the front door. The dealer repaired the leak again but Fleetwood told me I was on my own for the wall repair...I was going to have them do those repairs this fall but when I got the rig home it was still leaking. In total frustration I tore the wall out myself and found the leaks (they had never been addressed). I made the repairs and bought some maple paneling to match the cabinets and fixed the wall....looks okay..I priced out the correct paneling from Fleetwood but they want 265.00 to get it to me through a dealer....I wasn't in the mood to allow them to rip me off...maybe in the fall.

Immediately after repairing the wall a filter under my sink failed and pumped 100 gallons of water through the interior of the coach. I noticed water pouring out the slide when I had gotten back from lunch....took two weeks to get it all dried out because of the wet spring.

This last Thursday I filled the the water tank for this weekend trip. I came home early Friday to load the rig and heard the pump running constantly....The hot water tank had ruptured a hose (I pulled the tank today when I got back) so it wasn't serious, but we had another 100 gallons pumped through the interior..wet vac and turned a fan on it all weekend, still we were sloshing when we went to bed at night.
To top it off the washer on the hose fill from the laundry sink failed while we were out dealing with the RV mess and the laundry room, clothes, floor were flooded. We must have put 30 gallons through the basement ceiling...I have some repair to do.

The weekend was good except for the standing water in the camp sites, Grand sons were with; 5, 4, 1, years...we just stayed on the lake in the boat to avoid the mud.....can't wait for next weekend.

Sooo... how was your day?

Wow! I think I'd stay the heck off bridges! LOL!

You might be all right....can't be much else water-related to go wrong. At least I hope not.

I wonder if you shouldn't change your screen name to Water Babies. Seems like the forum is getting a new expert in water damage, feel sorry you knowing that your getting your knowledge first hand. Good Luck Bill

SunflyerA, most of us just hurt for you trying to put ourselves in your position. Bad things usually come in 3's so I think you are going to be OK now for a long stretch, here's hopping.

Glad to read that all is well now. We usually try to remember to turn the water pump switch off when not needed. Somewhere along the line, I was told that and have been doing it ever since. In your case, it might have prevented gallons of water being pumped out of the tank. Just a suggestion for the future. Have a good summer with the grandsons...and make lots of happy memories.
