Everyone was so kind with info about routes from Georgia (I 75 thru Atlanta), but I have another question. I had been planing on taking I 75 to 411 (just south of Adairsville), and then 411 the rest of the way to Sevierville. Someone told me though that 411 was a very twisty road. It doesn't look that way on the maps, but maps are not always representative of the road. Can anyone shed some light on the feasibility of 411 with a 28 ft MH with a toad.
Thanks,
Todd

Back before there was an I-75, US 411 was the best route from Knoxville/Maryville to Atlanta. It was only a 2 lane road but in good shape. There have been sections of it that have been 4 laned now. If you want a slow, scenic route passing through several small towns (10), then this is the route for you.
My SIL brother lives near Knoxville, and this is the only route they use! 411 to 75 then south. However since her mom lives off 411 in Alabama, they can just stay on it now!
FWIW, I just posted about the NC to TN portion of US #441. As far as the Georgia portion, I used to take it all of the time when I lived in Athens, GA and would head up to the Smokies. We still take it now when we head up from Florida, either off of 23 or I-85. It's two and four lane, and passes through some neat areas. I really like the Rabun county portion - be sure to check out the academy on the west side of the road, GREAT sled hill! Also, Tallulah Gorge is pretty awesome if you have time to pull over and check it out. US #441 will take you all the way into Cherokee - be sure to watch the signs through Cherokee and stay on 441, it's super easy to get turned around. From there, up the mountain you go.

I have only driven the part from Ocoee, Tn to Sevierville.
Just north of Ocoee it is 95% 4-lane to Marysville. From Marysville to Seymour is a narrow 2 lane with no shoulders but is running through a valley and an easy drive. Just a typical country road. Watch for speed limit signs a ways out from some of the small towns. They sneak up on you. Its a nice drive on the edge of a valley and a lot better then the I-75 raceway. Check out Etowah. Just a nice place for lunch or a break.
