I took my 5er in for Dometic frig repair plus warranty recall work. It’s still under full warranty.
They tried to tell me that I'd have to pay for it all. I had to fight them every step of the way.
When I went to pick it up, they stuck me for a huge 'diagnostic fee'.
I asked if the work was all completed and she said it was and that they had checked it out thoroughly. BS!
I went out to my rig and found that the wiring to my frig was disconnected! Then the moron service manager tried to tell me that was what was wrong with my unit in the first place. BS!
When I brought it in the wires were all connected! Besides, even if they weren't, they were SUPPOSED to have fixed it.
Here's the kicker, when the service guy tried to hook up the lose wires, I had to show him where they went! (I had already studied the schematics).
Sorry, I do NOT recommend Camping World in San Marcos, California.

Dude, The same story around here. I won't go into detail but, the certified service tech didn't know half as much about my TT as I did and I'm far from being certified. It's cheaper to do the work myself.

I don't recommend Camping World here in Savannah Georgia either!! We bought one of those really Acrylic Awnings with wind sensor...got home rolled it out and has two holes in it!!! I called camping world right then....3weeks ago. They have still not replaced it. I called them today and told them it needs replaced ASAP because we leave here the 16th for a week then we leave on July 5 for Nevada. They have terrible customer service...they couldn't even install a second air conditioner for us after they told us they could

I have always had good service from my CW. Last month they installed a Fifth Airborne king pin box and did a good job of explaining how to adjust the pin box. They are like any other company with lots of stores. Some are better than others.

You got to remember most of the service tech started out working in dealerships so you have to retrain them to the customer oriented way of doing things. You also have to remember there is always a boss above the individuals who you're having trouble with to take your problem to and let them handle it for you. If they can't or won't there is a Regional Manager who will be more than happy to solve the problem.
Customer service is always an important item that Managers are concerned with and they will take action if it's required.

I've always had good service from Camping World but I know its not the case at every CW.

In 2005, we were traveling to Florida with another family. They lost a complete wheel assembly in southern IL. Getting a quick fix to get us back on the road, they called ahead to CW in Nashville to get a "real" tire and wheel assembly. It was the closest place we could find on a weekend at that time of day. He was assured that everything would be ready when we got there. It took nearly 3 hours after we arrived at CW to get serviced. They hadn't even built the assembly, yet. And the cost was astronomical. Over $200. Haven't dealt with them since.
Just last Friday had my recall update taken care of at a Camping World. Took about 40 minutes. I signed a ticket indicating the work was done..they will bill Dometic $40.
That said, most of my experience with them has not been positive.
