Does anyone have any recommendations for RV Covers. I have a 35 ft. 5th Wheel and will be storing it in Virginia. So it will be subject to summer sun. I will be using it down south in the winter so snow and ice are not a concern.
Thanks

Covers IMO do more damage then good...If you were full timing would you have it covered? I covered a few years ago for about a months and even with the cover tight, it rubbed areas around the sides really good... next day it was off..

We are on our 3rd year with our ADCO with TyVek cover. It's a MUST with this intense Sun up here!!!!! Ive seen 3 year old uncovered units that graphics and paint look like toast. Our unit looks as good as the day we bought it every time we uncover it, and I've had absolutely no rubbing issues as the above post had. It also protects all the plastic lights, all the caulk and vents, etc.
You can either cover yours and keep your investment looking nice, or leave it uncovered and watch your unit COOK....its up to you.

Horse hockey. We have covered every unit we have ever owned (5) with NO problems like that. In fact keeping them covered is one reason we always get top $$ for sale or trade. They look as good on the outside as inside.
Adco is the best we've used so far.

Horse hockey back at ya, I said it was my opinion, and I just didnt come up with out of thin air, too many RV's at my Company owned camp and including my own had top of the line covers, and I saw plenty of damage. These trailers sit for months sometime years before being sold and sit out in the hot sun for months at a time and they're just fine. Dont waste your money..
That’s funny , Top money for trade In's, I’m sorry I had to laugh at that,, Trade in values today are in the dump no matter what the units look like. Now of course we dont have the intense sun of Texas or the west, so sorry I forgot to say that a cover might be fine out there, I should have know about explaining my opinion as to the geographical location of my trailer.. A good waxing will also fight off many effects of the sun. I didnt have a ADCO, so maybe this would be the cover to use.

We have found that installing the cover can be difficult. We use our 5er several times per month year round. I prefer to wax it twice per year than struggle with the cover 30 times per year. Our's is only three years old but still looks new. Florida sun is harsh too.

We have a 2006 5er and are on our second cover. Adco was excellent about replacing the first one under warranty. It rubbed in the wind and simply wore thru in the spots where it made contact with the trailer. It is on tight and it is the correct size.
I wash the unit, wax it, and cover it; I like the way it looks. I still wish I had a garage or barn to keep it in.

We cover our TT for two reasons:
1. Lots of wind and water where stored so recommend in harsh conditions get a tough fabric like sunbrella. Keeps the TT new looking and heavy water out.
2. Security, believe it or not makes the TT more secure for thefts by not showing what is there and adding a layer of difficulty getting into. One more step that deters thieves that are not really determined.
Installing is relatively easy if you feel comfortable on the roof. Follow the instructions and in my case takes less then 20 minutes to install and or remove.
Hope that helps?

If you can I would put it under one of the metal RV covers or ports.
There are severl different designs for these.
We are lucky we keep ours in a barn here on the place.
