We don't pack our bees, or bugs from home when we go camping, so we never have a problem with that stuff. We don't figure those pests deserve to go on vacation with us

I don't know that I have five most important things but I can tell you that when we first started camping the one thing I couldn't pack ahead of time and forgot the most often was --

PILLOWS!

Now we keep pillows in the fiver all the time but when we were newbies in a pop-up there must've been three different times we set up camp only to discover I'd forgotten to grab our pillows. We had to make "pillows" out of towels or clothes -- then I got much better at remembering them!

Coffee and Filters, Extra Camera Batteries, Awesome cleaner (works on everything! $1 store), Eternabond Tape (my Dad always carried duc tape, lol), Folding chairs for kicking back outside, Baby Q BBQ, and an extra loaner Blanket. When we bought our motorhome we ended up staying our first night on the way home with nothing packed! A real nice couple next to us at the CG loaned us a blanket. Their welcome and loan made our first night so we always carry an extra. Oh, almost forgot, Cool Ties. We are in desert southwest and they sure come in handy for us and the dogs.

Most of my stuff is pre-packed, so that all I have to do is grab a cooler with perishibles, suitcase and hookup and go.

In addition to another's suggestion of cash/credit cards, and meds, emergency medical info/insurance is a good thing to have. If you have pets - their rabies certificate is important to have.

Our TT stays packed and ready to go but I always check to make sure the three essentials to life are there: Beer, Coffee, and fresh Cigars. Don't really need much else unless I'm going for more than a week.
