Never stayed at Lakewood, but our Verizon cell phones work just fine next door at Pirateland.

DW and I go to Lakewood every summer. Both have Verizon....never a problem there or anywhere in MB.

I have been all threw Myrtle Beach with Verizon never a problem either.

We just got back from Lakewood and we had very low signal with our Verizon phones. We usually had only one bar on the signal indicator but we were able to make calls (we just didn't do a whole lot of moving/walking around while on the phone).

I'm going to chime in also. We are at Ocean Lakes and have been here since 1st of March. All was well with Verizon until 3 weeks ago. Still great throughout the park and at MH but on the beach, have no service to call but can receive calls. So go figure. Other Verizon members have had the same problem. There is a tower nearby so don't know what is going on. Again, the only problem for me has been trying to make a call on the beach no matter how many times I move around, it is to no avail.

Just got back from recent trips to PL and MBSP had no probs with Verizon anywhere in the MB vicinity.
