Don't know if any of you have heard this yet or not, but we've had some fairly severe storms in mid michigan the past few days. Lot's of wind damage to homes, trees and other property. (I know nothing compared to the damage in Indiana and Kentucky, but still pretty nasty)

A women was killed when she went outside her house to shut the door on her travel trailer, and the trailer was blown over on top of her and killed her.

I know it's kind of a morbid thing to post, but I just thought I'd put it out there for people to have in the back of their mind if you're ever in weather like that. Don't know why, but this story really got to me. Very sad.

May be morbid. However. Can serve as a important lesson. Never go out in such a serious storm.

Someone is always asking: How much wind does it take to blow a trailer over? I guess if you know what the wind speed was, you'd be able to answer that--at least for that trailer.

Wow, this story sounds very similar to another tragedy here over the weekend. A lady went out to close the door on her pole barn when she was killed. Now I can't remember if it was a tree that fell on her or what happened. Unfortunately we had 5 deaths over the weekend here in West Michigan due to the storms.

Trailers don't kill people, people kill.........

Oh never mind. Don't want to get the thread shut down.

We had a guy get his 5er blown over in his driveway a few months ago. I think they got it put back up only to get blown over again.
