I recently purchased a 1998 Fleetwood Caribou 9-T camper. My question is- where do you store the dining table when not in use? I purchased the camper from a dealer, and he was no help. The only place I can see is outside, which doesn't seem right.

I place the table against the outside wall when I make up the beds. When the upper bunk is lowered, it traps the table in place so it can't fall on the lower bunk occupant. I then place a cushion in front of it. There is enough space left between the upper bunk and wall so that the table isn't being pinched and getting the finish marred.

Have you thought about sliding it under the bunk mattress?

I lay mine under the dinette cushion. The base piece for the legs slides out so it lays flat. Lifts the cushion about 1 inch total.

I could do that, but we sleep up there, and the hardware would be hard on the back.

I use the bunk area as a storage shelf, however, I might have to use it for the table when it's not raining when camping.

During the day when not used, it's on the bed. At night when I'm in the bed, its in place. there may be room to stand it up on edged in front of the oven. I'll check this weekend.

I usually just lean it some where out of the way. The post goes on top of the water tank.
If it was really a problem I would use a solution I have used for a small table we use outside. In the area in the little offset under the cabinets I put a short piece of strap material with a female snap. The table leans against the wall in the off set and has a male snap on the bottom odf the table that lines up for the strap to connect. On my last camper I also had an end strap/snap to keep it in place but only put the top one in for this camper and so far in a coupe of thousand miles of travel it has not moved.
