What is the best route, we are pulling a PUP with a Suburban. Looking for a half way stop for one night.

The term 'best' is subjective. My choice would be Hwy 2 all the way.

You could stop at the Coeur D'Alene KOA, but its "average" at best. It's in an odd location with the entire campground in a small sloping valley. Otherwise, there isn't much between Coeur D'Alene and Glacier NP unless you go much further into MT. It really depends on which route you are planning on taking.

You might consider Riverside State Park in Spokane. We haven't been there but have read/heard good things about it.

Blackwells Park in Coeur D'Alene is a good stop for a day or two.

Like Mockturtle, we'd use US2 but at our pace we'd break the trip into at least 3 days with 2 overnights if not more. We'd probably stay one night at the very nice Wenatchee River County Park in Monitor, WA - a number of wheel and spoke camping areas along the river. I also might stop at the Two Rivers Marina and RV Park off US 2 (@20 mi N of Davenport), then maybe Blue Anchor in Osburn ID if I cut over to I-90 or around Sandpoint if I used US2/200 out of Spokane.

Nope - I would go north to Sedro Wooley and take 20 across to Spokane. Beautiful!!

For speed I would stick with I90 until someplace before Missoula, and then work my way NE. Last time I returned from Glacier it was by way of Plains Mt, with an overnight motel stop in Coeur D'Alene.
US2 from Spokane is another obvious choice.
I just got back from that area taking a slower, but interesting route. From Missoula I took Mt 200, overnighting at Thompson Falls State Park, then on to Sandpoint with another night at a Priest River COE campground. After an overnight side trip to Priest Lake, it was on to Washington and WA 20. Previously I've taken 20 all the way across Washington, but this time I took 'straighter' route, via Flowery Trail past 49 degree North ski area, the Gifford free ferry, and across the Colville Reservation to Nespelem. Then side trip to Spring Canyon campground near Grand Coulee. Continued on to Okanogan via Omak Lake, over Loup Loup Pass (2" of fresh snow), a break in Twisp and Winthrop, and another night at Newhalem. Finally on the south side of the Skagit from Concrete to Mount Vernon. But that was 5 nights, not just one.
