While we did not have a 4th trip planned, we are heading down from Peoria to St. Joe State Park in Missouri for a 4 day trip leaving on Friday. I am not going to let a couple of hundred dollars difference in fuel costs keep me from going or from using a rig and toys I have over $100,000 invested in. If my ability to enjoy these things was at risk at that financial level, I would not have purchased them. It is what we do among other things so again a couple of hundred dollars a trip will not stop us. If it gets to a $1000.00 difference trip over trip, maybe time to liquidate.

when it comes that time, nobody will buy them from you.

Shawshank Redemption was a cool movie. Or did you get the line from somewhere else?

By the way, me too. I won't stop camping and riding in the desert until I'm forced out of it. I just wonder if it will all be a memory someday when we pedal our bicycles and drive our SmartCars with the pump price at $10.00/gal. The enviro whackos will love it. The Oil Companies are doing what the Enviro Whackos couldn't. Keep us off public land!!!!

We will probably go out to Cal City. Only about 90 miles each way. Relax with the dirt bikes and have a quiet weekend.

Ok it was my post !! I called my buddy. I will share the gas and we will take his truck and hauler. It's just me and my son and him and his son. So we will have plenty of room. I prefer my own hauler. But !! The kids will love to be together !!

There you go!!
Hey you are onto something! Toy hauler sharing just like ride sharing we can all help pay for gas & food.
So everybody with big toy haulers step up and offer sleeping accommodations so we can all continue to go ride!

NO WAY! I ride every other week in Coral Canyon, and just 20 minutes away is diesel at $2.00 a gallon! Next week I install the 100 gal tank and we will be in Mammoth in July! It's like the clock rolled back to 2004 at that price. Before this I had slowed down use to every other month.
