Yes, a nickel here, a nickel there, pretty soon you're talking real money.

I don't know where this is going to end, but it sure is having a big impact on RVers. I have taken the attitude, at my age anyway, either we use the MH at whatever cost(within limits) or get rid of it. I intend to keep using mine for now, because RVing and travelling are my passion. I refuse to let politicians/governments dictate my lifestyle.

I usually gas up twice a week and average 10 gallons a fillup (going back and forth to work, not towing)The average is about $4.00 per gallon but I only pay about $3.75 per gallon. I skip the $1.59 soda and the $.99 hot dog. Heck, if I keep doing that ,I won't have to sign up to Nutri system and save another $300.00 a month.. GIT R DONE...

I tried to start a thread last week asking where all the posters who said fuel prices would never bother them had gone.

It was poofed immediately.
Now, we have three threads running concerning fuel.
Strange!

I know exactly what you mean Sea Dog - same thing happened to me. It all seems so arbitrary and capricious - but whatever!

We travel full time and our fuel average last year was $2.85/gal; $590/mo - burning 2,465 gal of diesel over 20,310 miles. We're planning on an average of $4.75 for the full year 2008 and increased our monthly fuel budget to $970.
