I carry the 50 to 30amp converter (dogbone) for another reason also. Sometimes but not always you can get a higher voltage reading from the 50amp circuit than the 30amp. I've always assumed that this was do to many more using the 30amp than the 50amp connection and that the 50amp was from a different feed than the 30amp. This is most noticeable when the campgrounds are full and there are a lot of air conditioners running. It works for me. Happy camping.

it is best to be prepared for the essential hooks-up...

I always have the adapters to hook my 30A to both 50A and 15A service, and on occasion have had to use both...

always have a spare hose or two with some repair kits, shutoff connector's and Y's because one will not always be enough...

have at least 30' of sewer hose... I have ends on mine so they can be hooked together without tools...

it's never fun to try to locate these things when you find you need them and everything near-by is closed...
