I saw a 30 foot Hurricane at a CampingWorld RV show. Nice price for the rig. Think it came in under $60,000. No slides in the one I saw. Think it was 102" wide. Lots of room, but don't know how well it will hold up in the long run. You might be able to contact some owners here: Thor Industries Owner's Forum. I remember seeing some posting concerning the Hurricane over there.

It's what is referred as an entry level RV. I have the 31D. Not even thinking about trading it in.
I've had some minor problems that were taken care with out any hassel.
The last problem was the HWH Leveler stopped working. Called HWH was told how to clear the problem and was sent a new Motor without charge. When it came I installed it in less the 15 mins. and no problems since.
Drives like a dream, pulling my Jeep GC toad. Good luck and if you have concerns, just send me a private message. Bill
I like my Hurricane alot. The 30q is a nice starter MH for the money. My 34n sits on a Ford , but the workhorse is a good chassis also. Fourwinds has been good to deal with on some minor issues I had when we bought.Check out the link in my sig for plenty more info.
My previous rig was a 2001 30' no frills, no slide Fourwinds Thor Hurricane with a Ford V-10. It was an excellent coach, drove extremely well even in strong side winds, lots of power and could go anywhere with it.
The only areas I would have liked to have or would have changed eventually was 1. a larger shower 2. second A/C unit (since I live and work in the Mohave, when it gets over a 105 its just hot) I used a portable A/C unit from Home Depot 3. install a Onan genset, I had a Generac in my coach 4. larger fresh water holding tank
I removed the barrel chair behind the passenger seat to give me more room. I did love the fact that you could easily ad fresh water to the holding tank when camping. If you do camp a lot buy one of thoughts funnel contraptions to ad water to the holding tank.
I had a rubber roof on my coach but never ha a problem with it. I made a brace to extend the passenger seat to the dash topped with a cushion. That was Baby's favorite seat she would place her front paws on the dash and watch the road go by. She'd blur the front window with her nose, but , oh well what are you going to do with the kid!
She passed on in October 2007, she was the best partner I had (9 years). In my line of work she always gave me an edge.
Good luck,
LUeno

I fully agree with all the comments above. Ours was fully tricked out by the dealer with every available option, then became too expensive and we purchased as a left over for a super competitive price. I mean it has everything you could pick on the options list. Over 10,000 trouble free miles to date and all the problems have been fixed under warranty. Hope to use it for many more years. If you can get over the "entry level" stigma, you're in for a treat. I've seen many other gas A's that cost a lot more money and couldn't justify the difference then, and much, much less now. I've had a Corvette, several Porsches and BMW's, a MB and now drive a Mercury Mariner. The only one to impress is yourself. If that's not the case, then go ahead and spend the extra money for a "luxury" coach. Hope your RV experiences will be as pleasant and rewarding as ours have been.

We have the Hurricane 34B. Only had minor issues that were immediatly cleared up by Thor. We are very pleased with the MH. Already have over 4000 miles and 35 days of camping in it. For what you get and the cost. In my opinion it has worked out very well.
I was so impressed with the factory support on my first Thor Four Winds Coach (Infinity) that when I upgraded to a DP, I purchased a Thor Product....Just as impressed this time.....Lots of bang for the buck and great factory techs that will help with problems.

We have a 99 Hurricane...no slides. We have traveled over 35,000 miles in her in the last four years. Bought it used as our first venture into RVing. Thought we would 'upgrade' if we liked the lifestyle. Have found no reason to do that to this point. I have redone the inside to make her just a bit more stylish. What little contact we have had with Thor has been great. We have looked at the new Hurricanes, as we would buy another one, but can't seem to justify it right now. As to resale value--not worried about that. If we never got a penny back for her, we have more than got our money's worth...................Betty
