I noticed a few spots on my new Jayco 29A that needs some touch up caulk. I know about the 100% silicone caulk for home/bath use that is pretty good but what about the industrial stuff the mfg use to caulk at the factory? I'm trying to match what they use.

thx
Dave

Stay away from the silicone. I used it and it peeled after a few months. I then had to clean it all off and use simple green to get rid of the residue. I used Geocel Pro-flex and it has worked great.

Where are these "spots"? IF they are on the roof then use only the Dicor lap seal. If other places then use anything except silicon and you should be good to go.

thanks for the tips. I found a few around the door and then the opening for the pass through door which is parallel to the ground. I'll be looking for the horizontals first and then verticals that need touched up.

Then, there are always the caulks the owners manual specifically calls out for use on that brand. Different for windows, roof seams, etc. But, hey!!!!!!!

I have read 3 different owners manuals and none state what to use.

Winnebago has lists for theirs. Some places are silicone, some are polyurethane and some are something else.

Dicor makes a sealant that is designed for doing this. They make a self leveling and also one that says where you put it. Check Camping World. That's where I bought mine.
